Countdown to Thanksgiving break: 14 days!!
Last week, our KIPPsters were introduced to the Color Wheel and Color Theory. This week, we'll be putting that theory into action in a new, super-simple-but-super-pretty project focusing on warm and cool colors!

What we've been up to:
Our KIPPsters have been rocking the Color Wheel this week! Between taking some professional artist-quality notes about fundamental Color Theory and applying that knowledge to create our "Falling Leaves" watercolor masterpieces, it is safe to say we've kicked off our "Painting and Color" Module with a strong start!
Where we're headed:
This week, we'll be finishing out our "Falling Leaves" projects with watercolor pencils and pushing to get ready for our Color Wheel quiz next week. Right before Thanksgiving break, we'll be jumping into traditional watercolor techniques and some additional Color Theory in preparation for our final projects in color before Christmas Break (Countdown: 49 days)!
Shout-outs:
These KIPPsters have done amazing work this week and they definitely deserve a Shout-out!
Josue V. (Vandy) for winning the Inquiry award for Art this month, and for showing Tenacity and Excellence in his creativity in work ethic each and every day!
Adan M. (HC) for his AMAZING work on our Comic Strip Project! He and his friends in Holy Cross went above and beyond and are continuing to make comics together in their free time!
Jose V. (LSU) for showing our Prime T.I.M.E. value of Make a Difference to his classmates and teachers as often as he sees an opportunity, and for his constant attention to detail and care that he puts into his classwork.
[STAY TUNED...Ms. B needs to take some pictures!]
Well done to all of our outstanding Prime Artists! The Newsletters will feature Shout-outs from now on, so stay tuned to see if your KIPPster is featured! :)
Something fun:

I am always on the lookout for new ways to include Prime Artists' work in our classroom and school decor. Last week, I used our amazing watercolor paintings to jazz up our white boards! Aren't they pretty?? They are both taped and tacked up there, so they'll basically never be able to paint my room again. :)
That's all for now! Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. I am so grateful for all of my KIPPsters and their loving families! :)
It's Prime T.I.M.E.!
